New Patrons Only Episode: the Problem of Unbelief in the Sixteenth Century

Hello everybody! As promised a new episode just for patrons of the podcast is now available. In it, I take a look back at the work of Lucien Febvre, a French historian of the 20th century. In his book “The Problem of Unbelief in the Sixteenth Century” he argued that it was impossible for anyone in that period to be a modern atheist, focusing on the life of the Franciscan writer and humanist Francois Rabelais. I give an overview of the book and talk about what Catholics can learn from it. (Note this is a patrons only episode, so if you want to hear it, consider becoming a patron of the podcast.) You can find the episode here. Cheers!
